Hermann Park Maternity Photoshoot – Helena Photographs

It was such an honor for Myrna to trust me with her maternity photos. Myrna reached out to me and shared that she did not want the basic posed photos, she said my photography changed her mind on doing photos. Can you believe that? I honestly was so honored. This is what she said…

“My fiancee and I have been together for about 9 years and are expecting our first baby! Took us long enough haha! We are so so so excited to welcome our baby girl in December. We love to travel, eat good food, and just have fun. We’ve never taken professional photos before – the closest we come to a professional photo would be the Disney photographer who captured our engagement HAHAHA! So needless to say we’re excited and a little nervous. I came across your work on IG and fell in LOVE with how you capture moments. I was a little turned off from taking maternity photos at first because I didn’t want to do the typical style of photos you see, and something about the way you capture moments made me change my mind!”

I love to do candid photos, and natural posing. I really do not vibe with perfectly posed photos for some reason I find this type of photography is very intimate. I guided them through this whole photoshoot so if you are interested in doing a shoot do not worry about the posing!
